		Our very dear friend Lori had been conspiring to create the ring with me for 3 weeks. An inability to keep anything secret from Emily proved my undoing as it came as no surprise to her when I dropped to one knee in The Maple Leaf restaurant in Banff and popped the question. The scene of our third date, it had also been described by Emily as the place she fell in love with me. It has been a little shy of 6 months since our first date, a 4 day excursion to Alaska together in the depths of winter ('why' i hear you ask......'because it was there' comes the insane response). We have never lived in the same country let alone city. However thus far this minor inconvenience has led us to.........wait for it...... Alaska Banff x 3 San Diego San Francisco Yosemite National Park Austin x 2 the now tragically devasted New Orleans Vancouver London Houston x ? Calgary x ? Monterey and British Columbia It has been an amazing journey already and now we are about to embark upon its next leg. -Danny
